The most important part about essential oil safety is knowing what’s in your essential oils.  Low quality, synthetically produced oils are not something you want absorbed by your body.  Young Living’s essential oils are labeled for topical, aromatic, or internal use depending on the oil and, as with anything you put on or in your body – read the labels.  Young Living has a line of Vitality Oils that are specifically for ingesting.

Young Living also uses child safety caps on any oils that cannot be ingested (such as Wintergreen).

  • You should never place essential oils inside the ear.
  • You should never place essential oils near or in the eyes.
  • Some essential oils are more “hot” to the skin than others. Learning more about this and other sensitivity issues are important.
